Jeff's been studying

I gave my friend Jeff a crash course in Elvis Costello the other day. He's coming to the concert with me so I gave him copies of his two most recent albums along with a personal "best of" mix called Camp Elvis. Anyway, I have to give him props for doing his homework.

He liked When I Was Cruel better than The Delivery Man (which I do, too).

But it gets better.

He gave me this handy fact: On the song "Alibi" the word alibi is repeated 67 times.

Jeff walks to work so he has time for such nonsense.

Dude, I have to say your blog is pretty sweet. Shawn's is pretty good too. And obviously I was delighted to see both Fast Cars and The Brute Choir mentioned. Now I'm thinking about buying that Shins cover.

Elvis Costello's only good album is "Almost Blue" because it's got country songs on it!!

Omar, is that you? You're the only person I know crazy enough to say that.

I have to respect the powers of concentration it takes to count that high...

And just hearing Omar's name mentioned makes me think of the "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" and crave bacon (preferably not peeled off the floor)...

Bacon is good.

Saw this and had to put on Almost Blue (the song). Now I'm sad.

It's me. Hi Eileen. Howdy Shawn. I remember the bacon night. Sort of. Is Jlicious actually Josh? In that case, U2's only good album is the one with Johnny Cash on it.
