I have a theory that everyone on the planet within a certain age range owns a
Squeeze album. The often popular choice is
Singles, but their 1980 album
Argybargy has to be number one. Why? For a long time, every record store in the country had several copies of
Argybargy in a cutout bin on sale for about $5. That's hard to resist.
Even though I'm a big Elvis Costello fan, I have little patience for New Wave music and after listening to "Pulling Mussels (From the Shell)" and "Another Nail in My Heart" I'm pretty much done with the album. I can't complain, though. I probably only paid a few bucks for it anyway.
